2012 Recap

I absolutely can not believe 2012 is coming to an end. It has flown by! This past year has definitely been one to remember. I've grown close to people, and grown apart from some.
2012 was the year of late late nights

2012 was an incredible year and I wouldn't change a thing. Definitely a year of laughs and cries, lots of lessons learned, and people who have helped shape me to be who I am today. 2012 was great and I am so happy the world didn't end like it was suppose. 2012 was wonderful-but I have a feeling 2013 is going to be even better.

Thanksgiving and Hunt party

It seems like just yesterday I was carrying in my handful of Kneaders rolls, tarts and a pie home for Thanksgiving. This year was just my parents Darci and I out of my family, but luckily for us Grandma and Grandpa Hunt came up to Tremonton as did the Crandalls. Minus Kelby-obviously. The day was spent searching through Black Friday ads, listening to Hunter make up his own versions of One Direction, and of course delicious food. Thats why i was stoked Grandma was spending Thanksgiving at my house-my grandma's food is the BEST! Good thing my mom has learned from her! Then-Just last week was the annual Hunt Christmas Party. It was a blast, of course. I love being able to spend time with my family. Plus-it always gets a little crazy when the Hunts get together. And I also got me some One Direction stuff-which is ALWAYS a plus. Here are some pictures from these events! :)

Live While We're Young

So...Steph and I created this dance to none other than One Directions Live While We're Young! We decided to film it so we could see what it looks like. It's blurry and horrible quality but I had to post it because I think it's hilarious. And the only reason I think it's hilarious is because of Kolby just standing in the background doing absolutely no movements. So...enjoy. Cause one day this dance is gonna be pretty dang popular! 1D for life baby!!

Christmas Letter

Happy Holidays from 224! We’re sure you’re all wondering what we’ve been up to this past year. It’s been an eventful and busy year. Here is why…

Madison (19): Madison is a sophomore at UVU and is from Tremonton Utah. We’ve recently been informed she is leaving us for the magical world of Disney and our hearts are breaking! She loves everything British, especially the band One Direction. Madison likes social networking, napping, and keeping tabs on the One Direction boys.

Tessa (19): Tessa is one credit short from being a sophomore. After leaving us for the summer to live with her family in Layton, she successfully was able to reunite with Apartment 224 again. Tessa is the Betty Crocker in the household. She enjoys throwing dinner parties, dancing, and talking about the need to clean her room.

Kaylee (19): Kaylee is almost a junior and reigns from Deweyville Utah. She is the brains of the family and her current boyfriend is occupying all of her spare time. We like to call him homework! Kaylee likes collecting noodles in her pantry and has accumulated enough to feed a third world country. You’ll find her in basketball shorts and managing the finances.

Steph (18): Steph is a freshman and is the newest addition to our family. She drove ALL the way from Illinois to join us. Steph enjoys counseling us and checking in on us in a motherly manner. She’s our social little butterfly and a recent Vampire Diary addict.

30 day challenge..in 1 day!

So everyone is doing 30 day challenges lately, like what to be thankful or whatever and instead of doing it each day, i'm doing the whole dang month right now! So...............enjoy! :) 

Day 1: Current relationship status:

-          I am currently single and I love it. Although in my head I have like 57 boyfriends. It’s totally fine!

Day 2: Where you would like to be in 10 years:

-In 10 years I will be 29. I hope I have a cute husband and a couple of cute little kids running around! I want a cute little house and not be stressing for money!

Day 3: Top 5 pet peeves:

1.       When people wear brown and black together

2.       When people eat their ice like candy (yeah that’s for my mom!)

3.       When people touch me with their feet

4.       When people are rude!

5.       When people cant pick up after themselves!

Day 4: Views on religion:

-I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love this church with all my heart and wouldn’t be the person I am today without it! I know without a doubt this is the one and only true church. People can believe what they want to believe, I’m not going to shove my religion down their throats, but I wish I could show everyone how incredible it truly is and how much it blesses my life!

Day 5: Favorite comfort food and why?:

-          Well I’m a girl, so chocolate of course!

Day 6: Zodiac sign and if it fits my personality:

-I’m a pisces. And..well I just googled what pisces are like because lets be honest. I had NO idea. And actually I do think it fits my personality. A little weird. It said pisces are accepting, imaginative, lazy (guilty), and oversensitive. Definitely cant argue with those!

Day 7: Favorite childhood toy:

-          My barbies of course!

Day 8: A moment you felt the most satisfied with your life:

-          Shoot. This is hard actually. I’m legit drawing up a blank here, how pathetic! Probably whenever I meet famous people I feel very satisfied. Or when I beat out over a thousand people to get the top score on a Newsies quiz! So I live a sad life…

Day 9: If I could have any job in the world, what would it be?:

-To travel the world and write!! That would make me soooo happy!

Day 10: Guilty pleasure!

-          Probably my celebrity stalking..er researching! For someone reason I love it! And it’s the dumbest thing in the world!

Day 11: First 10 songs with the ipod on shuffle:

Day 12: Bullet your whole day:

-          Woke up and got ready for school.

-          Went to Biology. Caught up on some social networking. Learned about cloning. Watched the cute TA. Lost a contact.

-          Went and took my quiz in Astronomy. Left right after cause only having one contact in was giving me a major headache!

-          Called my mother while on my way home

-          Got way too entertained watching One Directions drama unfold with Piers Morgan on Twitter. Seriously was laughing out loud!

-          Took a nap.

-          Ate some food while watching Ridiculousness

-          Went to work

-          Worked.

-          Came home.

-          Blogging.

Day 13: Somewhere I’d like to move to or visit:

-SO EASY!!!! ENGLAND!! I am simply so fascinated with England, though London mostly. I would be the happiest person on earth to visit London. I’m not sure what it is but its so fascinating to me, I love everything about that place! That’s why my phone cover is the UK flag.

Day 14: Earliest memory:

-This may be the weirdest memory. But I use to have friends who were twins, Nick and Gus, I dont even think we had started Kindergarten yet. And I remember playing at their house. Then they moved. Who knows where they are now. But I think thats my first memory. But check me out...not even in Kindergarten yet playing with not just one boy..but two! 

Day 15: 15 interesting facts about myself:

-I’m from Tremonton. –I currently attend UVU, majoring in English. –I’m a sucker for accents! –I only have sisters. 3 to be exact. But I guess I now have 2 brother in laws. –My brother in laws make sure to make up time for going so long without a brother. –I’ve moved 5 times in my life, soon to be 6! –I have a huge fear of getting kidnapped! –The current saying I cant stop saying is “outta control” Its getting outta control! Hahaha –I think I’m funny! –I can watch a movie once and quote most of it –I want to write a book one day. –I’m a total bookworm –I put the pro in procrastination. –I’m a social networking pro! –Im a total child at heart! –I’m a huge Utah Jazz fan!

 Day 16: Views on mainstream music:

-Well considering I’m obsessed with the biggest boy band in the world right now, I would say my views on mainstream music is its cool!

Day 17: Highs and Lows of this past year:

Lows: (starting with these first since they are sadder) Utah Jazz didn’t win the championship. Kobe Bryant is still playing basketball. My best guy friends have left me for 2 years. Didn’t see David Beckham at Disneyland. I had a psycho roommate, One Direction wont tweet me! (clearly my year hasn’t had many lows!)

Highs: I made amazing friends. Met the Buried Life. Got a kiss on the cheek from Ben from the Buried Life, I’m forever finished with math. I visited Washington DC, which has been one of my dream vacations, I went to Disneyland a month later, started sophomore year at UVU, became an aunt, Got to see Hillary, Got accepted to work at Disneyworld for a semester!

Day 18: Book could read over and over again and not get tired of:

-Secret Journal of Brett Colton. This is my absolute favorite book! I’ve read A LOT of books and this one I think will always be my favorite!

Day 19: Biggest regret in life:

-Oh shoot. I don’t even know. Actually yeah, I almost let something super silly come in between an amazing friendship. It lasted for a really long time, finally he told me we needed to work it out, I agreed, and we did, and BAM! We’re good. But I guess I regret letting it get in the way for as long as it did. Not sure what I would have done if it would have ruined our friendship!

Day 20: How important you think education is:

-I think its super important! I believe that after I die, the knowledge I have is the only thing I can take with me after this life. Education will help people out here on earth, and in the next life. It’s so important to gain as much knowledge as possible!

Day 21: One of your favorite TV shows:

-Imma say two cause I can. Vampire Diaries and Modern Family. First off Vampire Diaries, alright I’ve been with that show since it very first aired. These aren’t no twilight vampires, they are total babes, and its got twist and turns at every corner. Seriously such a good drama! Next is Modern Family. Alright, this show makes me laugh like no other! I would love to marry someone like Phil to be honest, and the whole dang thing has me laughing! Oh and also..I know this show is old but Friends! Seriously I die laughing at every episode!!

Day 22: How have you changed the past two years?:

-I’ve become more independent. I’m my own boss now and I gotta really think things through before I do something.

Day 23: 5 famous people I find attractive:

-Do all 5 members of One Direction count? Because seriously all 5 of them are beautiful. If anyone of them wanted to date me I would be like shoot, yes! But for the case of this question, I will count One Direction as one. But also Ryan Gosling. That man has no flaw!! Martin Johnson, Taylor Lautner, Alex Pettyfer.

Day 24:Favorite movie and what its about:

-Well if you don’t know the answer to this GET OFF MY BLOG CAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW ME CREEPER!! Otherwise..the answer if obviously Newsies!! And what its about? Well…here let me quote Racetrack “In 1899, the streets of New York City echoed with the voices of Newsies. Peddling the Newspapers of Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hurst, and other giants of the newspaper world. On every corner ya saw them ‘Carryin the Banner’ bringing you da news for a penny a pape. Poor orphans and runaways, the Newsies were a ragged army, without a leader, until one day…all that changed” Cue Kloppman waking the boys up, slapping Skittery, Snitch asleep in another guys bunk, Jack not wanting to wake up, and then cue the opening song. Oh..so I also may have every single part of that movie memorized. Forwards and backwards.

Day 25: Someone who fascinates you and why:

-Kate Middleton. She is seriously like my biggest role model. I think she is absolutely stunning. She dresses modest (most of the time) she’s beautiful, she’s living a real life fairy tale  and she seems so down to earth! Oh my word, she is seriously flawless!!

Day 26: If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it?

-Give 100 to a stranger. Go to England. Buy out a whole One Direction concert, then attend it by myself so they would all come out and I would be the only one there like a flipping boss! Maybe if I had some left over I would like put it in savings or something! 

Day 27: A problem you have or had in the past:

-I’m too nice. I can not for the life of me be mean to people. Which is actually pretty good, but sometimes I let people walk all over me and I don’t take much of a stand for myself. I’m slowly getting better, but I’m such a people pleaser that it’s a complicated process.

Day 28: Something that you miss:

-I miss Courtnie doing my hair. I miss acting out Parent Trap with Cami. I miss making forts out of the bunk bed with Darci. I miss meeting Jamie at the hole in the fence. I miss recess. I miss making up songs on the bus with Haylee. I miss having laugh after laugh with Hillary. I miss sleepovers at Caitlins. I miss the “olders and youngers” wars in Spanish class. I miss eating lunch under the tree each day. I miss heart to hearts in grandmas food storage with my cousins. I miss getting prank called in the middle of the night by Kelby. I miss cake parties. I miss social dance. I miss trying to create drama with Celeste. I miss visiting Courtnie at college. I miss staying up late researching the Korvers and creating “When Stalkers Stalk” stories with Cami. I miss the constant poem writing on facebook with Cami. I miss forcing Darci to watch something by sitting on her. I miss coming home from college to have Ashlee and Brenden there to see me minutes within arriving home. I miss listening to Preston play his guitar. I miss the betos run where Jessica accidently ordered a whole bag of hot sauce. I miss the group of 7 being together. I miss the headset gang at Kneaders from over the summer. I miss a whole lot more but nobodys got the time!

Day 29: List 10 people dead or alive that you would invite to Dinner. Include the menu:

-Zayn, Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam, Ryan Gosling, Kate Middleton, Martin Johnson, Then maybe 2 friends who I feel like inviting that day…well Kylie would be one. I cant have flipping dinner with One Direction and her not be there.  We would eat (well shoot, with Niall there we would need A LOT!) So Nandos, some Pansit, some Hawaiian haystacks, pie, Noodles, rolls, Kool-aid, Pepsi, birthday cake, ice cream, tacos, Pizza Plus Breadsticks, uhh..none of these really go together but who cares. It would be awesome!

Day 30: Goals for the next 30 days:

-Pass my classes. Save my money. Brace myself for a big move to Florida. Spend as much time as possible with my little niece before I go. Convert some haters to be fans of One Direction, Read lots of books since I will be living at home. Attend the Brigham City temple for baptisms. And have a very merry Christmas with my family! 

A whole new world!

Welcome to my new home! Isnt it pretty? :)
Yes, my new home will be a castle. So...technically I wont live inside it. But I will be there daily! Thats right..I'm moving to Disneyworld! Words cant describe how excited I am for this! Come January through May, Florida will be my new home! I have been accepted into the Disney College Program and I am beyond pumped to be in the Disney atmosphere everyday for five months! Seriously, can a job get any better? Well yeah it could..that would be Ryan Goslings personal assistant or One Directions water girl, but besides that the answer is NO! 
I will be in Florida during the winter which is a win! Goodbye freezing cold Utah! I will be working at the Happiest place on Earth. Yeah, definitely not talking about you Kneaders!
Its going to be an awesome experience and i'm super excited for this chapter in my life!!

Direction problems

I have a problem. A procrastination problem. For perfect example, its currently almost 2 in the morning and I have lots of homework I should have been working on. Projects are due soon and I havent started them, nor does it look like i will anytime soon. Instead i've spent the last three hours watching One Direction videos. No joke. Thats the way I role. [Replay] No joke. Thats the way I role.
Anywho....BLG will always and forever be my favorite band. But this little band here called One Direction has sorta grown on me. A lot. Five boys. 4 British accents. 1 Irish accent. Amazing talent. Cute faces. and freaking hilarious! Umm yeah, directioner. Me and Ky even made a video. It's rad! Below are some meme's that i've come across on Pinterest that are flippin hilarious. I've only picked a couple, but lets be real...there are like 6 billion funny ones! They most likely will make no sense, but to me they are hilarious! So..just enjoy their good looking faces! :)

Growing Up

One of Boys Like Girls latest songs has the lyrics that say "Well you know they say that growing up is hard."

Dang straight Martin, dang straight!!!

 And I got thinking, why is growing up so hard? And the answer came pretty simply to me. change. The different changes are why growing up sucks. Drifting apart from friends, no longer having the routine of high school or mom making dinner. Having to get a job, buy your own stuff, make your own decisions. 

Sometimes I love this life of being an adult!! Then other times I desperately want to go back to the time where the biggest trial in my life was there being no empty swings at recess. But there are quotes that say that there are far, far better things that lay ahead of us than what lay behind us. And sometimes I think how I really like whats been in my past. I dont want to move on from it- then other times i'm like alright awesome. Bring it on future!! 

I think most of the time I refuse to grow up. Maybe thats why i'm such a Disney fanatic? I thrive on Disney magic-because the magic allows me to feel five again. I mean come on Peter Pan. Why the heck have you not come to my window yet and said the magical "Forget them Madison. Forget them all. Come with me and we'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again!" and instead of replying with "never is an awfully long time" I'll just be like "kay cool let me grab a few things"

Sure I love where i'm at, but I cant help wonder that when I was younger, why was I in such a hurry to grow up? Why did the grown up life seem so fascinating? 

Growing up is inevitable. There is no way to avoid it. So I know I just gotta embrace it with everything I have. Although I may be growing up and making some grown up decisions, I refuse to fully grow up. I'm so blessed to be able to grow old, to be able to live the life I have. But mentally I'm still a kid at heart, and will stay that way. After all, it is the simple things in life that really make life worth living. 

Year One..Complete!

I've done it! I've accomplished my first year as a college student! I just cant wrap my head around the idea of where the heck did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was moving in while anxiously waiting to start school. This year has been incredible! I absolutely love UVU, I cant see myself attending anywhere else!!
This year was a year I met some of the best people I will ever know! I've met friends unlike any kind of friends i've had before. The real kind of friends they portray in movies. We've had many adventures [From almost dying to walmart runs] to sitting and doing nothing on the couch but listening to Preston play his guitar. Sitting in the hallway for hours talking to surfing Pinterest. This year I met Bill Nye the Science Guy and the sexy Buried Life boys. I've taken weekly tours of the campus "Where ya get your books" to trying to do homework in the office but failing because it's a party! Putting out the vibe whenever possible to trying so many times to master my Newsie jump. Trying to present in Ambassador class but being unable to because everyone is laughing at me to being stuck in a writing class full of weirdos. Playing Laser Tag in the Ballroom [Go Team Whitney's Baby] to supporting the basketball team.
I'm really sad to say goodbye to this school year. No more Ambassadors and no more group of 7. Sometime change really sucks. But when one door closes another one opens. So all I can really do is remember the amazing times this first year as brought to me and work on creating just as many memories next year.

And on the bright side...Class is out and its SUMMER!!!

Jazz Game

Well...last Wednesday I took my friends on the adventure of their lives. We went to the Jazz vs. Suns game. Unfortunately the Jazz lost by one flipping basket..but it was still fun!! Gordon was on a flipping roll and making some AMAZING baskets. Ahh...I love them Jazz!!

Hey Girl

Go ahead and ask if I love Hey Girl by Ryan Gosling. Go ahead and ask. Okay yes...i do love it. A whole freaking lot! In a perfect world..Ryan Gosling would walk right up to me and say those two worlds to me followed by something fantastic! Yeah..that would be the day!
Hey Girl has taken the world by storm..okay pinterest and blogs. It all started from a Tumblr and basically there has been a Hey Girl for everything. My personal favorite is the LDS Hey Girl's [Which lets be real..I've sent in some pick up lines and have gotten credit for them. [Even though Taylor told them to me. muah ha ha!] Ryan Gosling plus LDS lines makes for one happy Madison!] But seriously-if you follow me on Pinterest you are well aware of my love for Hey Girl. Because basically that's all I post! :)

Catching Up

Well how suprising that it's been a while since I have last written. I've basically been partying-filming videos in the hallways of Oregon! :) I've been so fortunate enough to have become close friends with Jessica, Kylie, and Taylor [See Taylor..you are more than a blogging friend on my blog!:) ]

Seriously though us four together are kinda crazy. We basically just sit around doing nothing but laughing. Occasionally we take random trips to Walmart-make stupid videos that only we find flipping hilarious-take trips to the Temple-pigging out on food-watching Shiz Mormons say-and basically think we are the most hilarious people that have ever graced UVU. I absolutely love it.

What do you want to do before you die?

Thats a very good question to ask yourself. That also happens to be the boys from the TV show The Buried Life's theme quote. I have been a huge fan of TBL since their first show!! When I watched them sneak into the Playboy Mansion I was like who are these boys? They also happened to be cute so I was like eh okay I will keep watching. Yup-like a lot of other things I became hooked! Last year for Christmas my sister even got me a TBL shirt and season 1 on dvd. I even named this blog after their theme song-My Life Be Like-Well...the school I go to is amazing! This being The Buried Life came to UVU yesterday. Thats right-this is no joke. Ben, Duncan, Jonnie, and Dave came to UVU. Best day! [After Martin obviously!] The boys talked about their story and why they are doing what they do. They were hillarious! Which I didnt expect anything less. Before they came Cami told me I should tell one of them to kiss me. [Which ever one asks me the question] Well-the time to tell them what I wanted to do came. I couldnt pass it up. I wouldnt see these boys again. So I went up to the microphone and said I wanted a kiss from Ben-But just on the cheek. He was all scruffy and I could have just died. It was pretty great!

I then waited to go meet them and get a picture. Once in the back I went to Duncan first and asked for a hug and for him to sign the back of my shirt. Then Ben. While hugging Ben I told him thanks for the kiss. His response was "We're getting married" Then he signed the back of my shirt. I moved on to Dave where after his hug he started singing while signing my shirt. I started laughing cause on the show they say Dave is the worse singer and they even said it during their presentation. I then saw Kylie having Duncan sign her sign that said "#1: Kiss Duncan Penn" Beneath it Duncan wrote "Yes Please" Then snuck a kiss on Kylies cheek while giving it back. Kylies reaction was hillarious! I then moved to Jonnie. After he signed my shirt I sat and talked to him for a little bit. He asked me and Kaylee how school was going and what not. He then asked "Can I ask what else is on your bucket list?" Oh why yes Jonnie-yes you can. I told him I wanted to participate in a flash mob. He then told me and Kaylee a project coming up involving the flash mob. We felt really cool like it was some top info he was revealing to us. We then had to leave so the next group could come in. Out in the hall I told Kaylee to take a picture of their signatures so I could see them. Once looking I saw that Ben had said "Great Kiss" I started freaking out! How could Kaylee not have mentioned this? Though she said she didnt read them. Lets just say...It was a very very good day. A couple of items got checked off my list thanks to that day. Woot. Go boys! :)
